Disney Vacation Club Resorts

Disney Vacation Club is Disney’s timeshare program. It is a flexible point based timeshare program. What does this mean exactly? You purchase a real estate interest from Disney, the amount of points you buy is totally up to you. You can purchase 150, 300 or 500 points, what ever is in your budget. Then you will use said points to book magical vacations at some of Disney’s nicest resorts for years and years to come! When I have a room tour available I have linked the youtube video accordingly below.

This page is dedicated to the resorts at Walt Disney World, note they have DVC resorts in California, Hawaii & South Carolina. You do not need to own at a specific resort to stay there nor do you need to be a DVC member to stay at one of these resort they are available to rent through Disney as a package or as a room only reservation.

  • Old Key West - Is the first Disney Vacation Club resort to open in 1991. They will also have the largest DVC rooms at Walt Disney World & currently the only ones that offer two queen beds in a studio. Old Key West offers studios, 1 bedroom villa, 2 bedroom villa, & 3 bedroom grand villas. Old Key West is located a short boat ride away from Disney Springs. They will have an internal bus system & offer a bus to all of the theme parks.

  • Boardwalk Villas - the second Walt Disney World location DVC resort to open in 1996. At the same time as the DVC resort the Boardwalk Inn opened, they share a lobby and amenities. The rooms on the inn side will be a different layout. This resort is located a short walk to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. The rooms they offer here are; studios, 1 bedroom, 2 bedroom & 3 bedroom grand villas. This is a popular spot to stay during Epcot’s Food & Wine festival.

  • Beach Club Villas- the third installment of DVC in Walt Disney resort opening in 2002. This beautiful beach themed resort is located in a separate building than the Beach Club resort. These resorts are located across the water from the Boardwalk Villa. The Beach Club Villa’s have access to the best pool on property Stormalong Bay, and they share amenities with the Beach & Yacht Club resorts. The rooms they offer here are; studios, 1 bedroom & 2 bedroom villas.

  • Boulder Ridge Villas- the fourth installment of Walt Disney World location DVC. Boulder Ridge is right next to the Wilderness Lodge and also shares all amenities with Copper Creek & Wilderness Lodge. The rooms at Boulder Ridge offer a studio, 1 bedroom & 2 bedroom villa. They are a short boat ride away from the Magic Kingdom.

  • Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa- the 5th DVC resort to open and most likely the largest DVC resort to be built to date. The rooms offered here are; studios, 1 bedroom, 2 bedroom, 3 bedroom grand villas & the treehouses which sleep 9 in a three bedroom. This is a huge property located walking distance to Disney Springs & they offer a boat ride to Disney Springs or a bus to all the theme parks.

In 2009 the second phase of Animal Kingdom Villa: Kidani Village opened. Each DVC resort offers these room types; studio, 1 bedroom, 2 bedroom & 3 bedroom grand villa. Each room category has the option to book a savanna view as well. This beautiful resort will have a bus to all of the theme parks & Disney Springs.

  • Bay Lake Tower- Opened in 2009 and is right next to the Contemporary resort sharing restaurants & transportation with the iconic resort. Bay Lake is walking distance to the Magic Kingdom & will also offer the monorail, boat and bus as a way to get around Walt Disney World. The rooms offered here are studios, 1 bedroom, 2 bedroom & 3 bedroom grand villas. You can opt in for a room with views of the Magic Kingdom, perfect for watching nightly fireworks.

The over water bungalows overlook the Magic Kingdom and have a little plunge pool off the deck. The bungalows will sleep 8 in a 2 bedroom, and are totally on my Disney bucket list. The only two DVC room options here are studios and the bungalows. The transportation options here are the same as the Grand Floridian & you have the benefit of being walking distance to the Grand Floridian for more dining and shopping fun.

  • Copper Creek Villa & Cabins- My personal favorite DVC resort opened in 2017. The majority of the rooms here are located within the Wilderness Lodge The rooms within the Wilderness lodge will be: a studio, 1 bedroom, 2 bedroom & 3 bedroom grand villas. The cabins are located along Bay Lake, and they are gorgeous. I would love to live in one. Each cabin does offer a hot tub on their screened in porch and will sleep 8 in a 2 bedroom. The Copper Creek DVC rooms share all amenities with the Wilderness Lodge and will have a boat ride to the Magic Kingdom as well as a bus to all of the other theme parks.

  • Riviera Resort- Is the newest DVC resort and they opened in 2019. The only DVC resort currently to be located on the Skyliner, for easy transportation to Epcot or Hollywood Studios. The rooms offered here are: tower studio (sleeps 2), studio, 1 bedroom, 2 bedroom & 3 bedroom grand villas. This is the only DVC resort to offer a room sleeping 2 in a queen pull down bed.
