Mt Willard Hike July 4th, 2024.

Was a beautiful fairly easy hike with gorgeous views. We arrived around 7:30 am. The bathroom in the parking lot was not open at this time, but a short walk over to the AMC solved that problem. There they had a bathroom we could use as well as a store in case we forgot anything. We hit the trail shortly after 7:30 am and by 8:30 am were already at the peak of Mt Willard. As you climb this steady incline there is a stream to cross at the start but no rock climbing or scrambles which I appreciated. As you near the top you are just hit with gorgeous views of Crawford Notch. Mt Jackson is next to you on the left, a part of the presidential range. The elevation gain is about 895 feet.

After the hike we drove over to Littleton, NH for lunch and a little shopping. We grabbed a coffee at Crumb Bum Bakery while we walked around town waiting for Schilling Beer Co to open for lunch. There are a few great shops we love and can’t wait to go back. We made our own 4 packs at Little Town Brews. A great beer store selling craft brews from all around New England as well as NA beers too. We happened to find one store Shaun Terhune Fine Art Photography that has incredible photography as well as other rustic pieces perfect for a home in the mountains or one that loves them. I would go back to Littleton, NH for any of these spots!
