After Hours Event

Walt Disney World After Hours event is a separate ticketed events held on select nights in January through June 2024. Currently the parks that host this event are: Magic Kingdom, Epcot & Hollywood Studios. The event runs from 10pm-1am, you’re able to enter the park as early as 7pm with the event ticket. If you have a park pass or an annual pass you can enter anytime during the day.

Also included in the event are snacks like Mickey Bars, ice cream sandwiches, popcorn, water bottles and soda!

If you have older kids or are on west coast time and can stay up late I highly recommend this event! With little to no wait for all of the rides, even the most popular ones, this event is amazing.

With an After Hour event ticket you can enter the park as early as 7pm with the festivities starting at 10pm. This is a nice way to enjoy what the park has to offer during the day, as not everything is open during the After Hours event. The crowds can vary between 7-10pm depending on when the park closes for day guests.

Tips for making the best out of your Disney After Hour events-

  • Arrive after 7pm as this will help with the crowds at the gate.

  • If you want to check out any shops do this now while the parks are open. Not all of the shops or restaurants are open during the event.

  • Do low wait time rides at this time. For Epcot: Nemo, Living with the Land, or Spaceship Earth. For Magic Kingdom: Big Thunder, Haunted Mansion or Pirates.

  • Grab a snack or late dinner from a place that won’t be open all night.

  • Shortly after 10pm go ride Tron or Guardians depending on the park you’re in. As these rides are solely accessible by individual lighting lane or virtual queue during the day the wait for them seems to be low when the party begins. When we did the events at Epcot and Magic Kingdom the wait time never exceeded 25 minutes for either, it was awesome!

  • Grab a Mickey Bar and water bottle when the event begins! You will see the snack stands throughout the parks and can enjoy all night!! Why waste time? Eat all the snacks ;)

  • If you had not had a chance to ride your favorite ride and it is 12:55 get in line! You will be able to ride that must do attraction as long as you’re in line before the event ends.

Almost empty park selfie!

Tell me what you think, would you like this event? I don’t want to do the parks any other way now!
