Best places to get a drink in WDW

Being a Disney adult has its benefits, like adult beverages. Going to Walt Disney World with just friends, as a couples getaway or a girl’s weekend is so different than going with your family and can be so fun. You can stay up late for fireworks, sleep in, and try more signature dining spots. When we have an adult-only trip we tend to go at a different pace & want to experience different parts of what Disney has to offer.

If you’re looking for a place to chill and grab a drink I have the list for you. Let me know if your favorite spot is on the list!

This is not such a big secret anymore; Nomad Lounge located in Animal Kingdom theme park. They do not take reservations and are located right next to Tiffins. They are a small table service restaurant with some outdoor dining spots. Nomad Lounge has great drinks and a small food menu with (personal opinion) the best churros in Walt Disney World property.

Disney Springs has some great spots to not just grab food but a good cocktail or two. One of my favorite spots is the Boathouse. They have great food and one of (personal opinion) the best margaritas on Disney property. It is a pretty large restaurant and has outdoor dining spots too. Even though it is a large spot if you want to grab dinner I would recommend having a reservation.

Views from the Boathouse. You can see Saratoga Springs resort and watch the Amphicar tour around while enjoying dinner & drinks.

My other favorite spot to grab a margarita is La Cava del Tequila. They are located inside the Mexican pavilion in Epcot. You don’t want to miss this little tequila bar. You can order drinks to go at the bar or have a seat and enjoy some of the best chips and guacamole in Walt Disney World. They do not take reservations and often will have a line, it is worth the wait!

If you’re having a non-park day or looking to take a break from a park day, head to the Grand Floridian. The Enchanted Rose located upstairs from the main lobby has a beautiful bar area. They are a Beauty and the Beast themed restaurant & have a lot of hidden details. Definitely take some time to walk around and appreciate all the details it really is a gorgeous space.

I really enjoyed the food here. It is a small menu but, for me, it was enough for dinner. It is an easy boat or monorail ride from the Magic Kingdom.

Back in Disney Springs one of my personal favorite places to eat for lunch is Wine Bar George. They have a smaller food menu for both lunch and dinner but their wine menu is extensive & they do offer some fun cocktails. Either way, you can not go wrong with the service, food, or wine here! Reservations are a good idea here for any meal.

The monorail resorts are really great for a quick escape from the Magic Kingdom to grab food and a drink. To be honest, any Magic Kingdom resort is good for a quick and easy respite from the craziness of a theme park day. Out of all of the Magic Kingdom resorts, I think the Polynesian is the most famous & popular by far. We love Ohana for dinner & while you wait for your dinner reservation you can grab the famous Lapu Lapu at the Tambu Lounge.

Another not-so-secret spot at the Polynesian Resort is Trader Sam’s. They have a lot of fun drinks alcoholic and non-alcoholic that can offer some fun antics by cast members! Inside here children are welcome until 8pm after that it is an adult-only spot (21+). There is an outdoor spot where children are welcome all night. The food menu here is very small but good for a snack with a fun cocktail! This inside space is small and there can be a line, go early and put your name on the list!

While a lot of people like to drink around the world in Epcot, again a hidden gem of good adult beverage is in Animal Kingdom. The Thirsty River is a great spot to grab a beverage and keep walking around. There are a limited amount of seats otherwise grab your drink and mosey around the park.

I need to plug one of my favorite all-time drinks to get in Walt Disney World. It is not an alcoholic beverage, but an ice coffee. You can not get anywhere else; the peanut butter cold brew from Gideon’s Bakehouse.

If you can time it right for warm cookie hour too, it might just be the best day ever.

While Epcot has many many spots to grab a beverage and walk around, I love L’Artisan de Glaces. They have an ice cream Martini, perfect for a warm day. They also offer other fun treats for those not wanting an alcoholic beverage.

I know Oga’s Cantina is a must-do for many Star Wars fans. We thought it was a fun atmosphere with interesting snacks and fun enough drinks. I do not feel the need to go again. I am glad I have tried it & think it should be on every Star Wars fan’s list of places to try. The reason I don’t feel the need to go again is; it was crowded and we did not have seats but stood at a bar. The standing is not always fun when you’ve been on your feet all day. But if you’re a Star Wars fan totally go at least once!!

The cast members are amazing here! The food here is so limited and in my opinion, I would not get again it was just ok. The drinks and service made the experience.

I am going to finish my go-to drink spot list with one of my favorite Magic Kingdom resort spots; Geyser Point.

Geyser Point is considered a quick service location but they offer a table service experience. They are located on the water in between the pools at the Wilderness Lodge resort, a short boat ride away from the Magic Kingdom.

This bar/ restaurant offers great cocktails and a very nice lunch and dinner menu. We love sitting outside here and enjoying the view.

It is so close to the magic yet so quiet and peaceful. If you’re looking for a break in the day I highly recommend taking the boat over the Wilderness Lodge & enjoying some good food and a cocktail while relaxing with water views.

There are so many more spots to grab a drink. Do you have a favorite spot? I would love to hear where you like to go!
