Perfect age to plan a Walt Disney World vacation

I want to cut to the point and say any age and any time. Family vacations are precious and can create memories for a lifetime. But with that being said I understand everyone can't go at any time. So what age is best to bring your children to Walt Disney World?

That depends and you know your kids best. Here are my opinions on the pros and cons of bringing your kids to visit the most magical place on earth.

Preschool ages-

Pros- Truly a magical time for your little ones. Nothing beats the joy on their little faces as they see their favorite characters & experience the magic within the parks. It is the time when they still believe that is actually Cinderella and this is her castle. Most preschoolers are up early so getting to the parks for rope drop isn’t a problem.

Cons- At this age, they usually can’t walk around the parks from open to close and some kids might still need a nap. You know your little one the best, if they take a nap at home they’ll need one on vacation. So you will be hiking back to the room or finishing the day early. Generally speaking, preschoolers are too small for some rides & if they are tall enough they might be scared for some of the thrill rides.

Elementary School Aged

Pros- Being a little older and taller they can ride most rides. This is a fun time to take your kids. They know most of the characters & have the stamina to walk around the parks all day.

Cons- There are none ;) This is the sweet spot to bring your kids!

Teens

Pros- When your kids are now in middle school and high school this is a fantastic time to bring them to Disney! They are ready for more thrill rides & you can sleep in a little ;) The other thing I love about teens or older kids is doing the special events like After Hour party that goes till 1 am!! These events have lower crowds so you can hit a lot of rides in a short amount of time and you’re not worried about getting back to the hotel for their bedtime.

Cons- Other than them thinking Disney is just for little kids and not wanting to go, no cons here.
